The key functions for proper and efficient development, setting up and maintanace of the cloud-based software for family practitioner information management are discussed. Main components of its software architecture are presented.  Important functions such as user authentication and coding of information gathered are presented and argued that in order to use the consolidated data for the better, say in asissted clinical decision making or forcasting ahead using data mining in an evidence-based setting, issues such as user authentication and accurate coding of information need to be tackled in advance. The last but certainly not least, the policies and directives  must not be altered because of government or team changes.
